Ballerinas & Collie Dog~

Some times I get anxious to sculpt little ballerinas. I *love* to make them. Whenever I finish one , I smile and feel happy inside. These 2 are my smallest sizes girls. The sitting one is under 2" and the standing is under 3" tall.
I also made a collie . I had finished him couple weeks ago. I made 2 props that are outside homes. they turned up very nice and later on I will post some pictures. The one in which the collie is pictured here is like a Florida home. I basically made everything from scratch ....I will tell you what I use when I post about later on!

They are listed on my ebay now!

I want thank you all for visiting me this past year and for your notes, comments and so much more. Each of you means a lot to me and just make my *work* be such a pleasure!

Wishing you a blessed New year!!!!*smiles*

Marie Antoinette and Ballerinas

Good evening everyone!!*grin*

These are my newly creations! Two sweet ballerinas and my first Marie Antoinette Doll.
I was inspired by the movie and the costume . I realized that in the movie , Marie does not dress as the *real* Marie did and I like that much more.
The lady was 5" tall , before I set her down. She is listed on my ebay as well as my sweet blond Ballerina. The other one will be available on my etsy store tonight.

Have a wonderful labor day weekend and please be safe!
Smiles~

Litlle Princess , Dancer r& Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog

Hello dear readers & friends~*grin*

I don't know where you all live, but here in NC the weather is getting hotter everyday. We have been harvesting tomatoes, Okra , zucchini , squash , broccoli , green beans and sorts of others almost every other day .

Although I enjoy sculpting, I have not been able to do a lot lately because of the farm demands but these little girls were a pure joy to make.*grin*

I also did the chair. This chair was originally a vintage chair that I sanded down and re-did it. The gold is real gold and I use the leafing process in which is much different than painting with liquid gold. I did the upholstery with a gorgeous silk that I bought from a a German lady that I meet at a doll show last year.

Little Princess is dressed in the same silk.

They will be listed at eBay shortly. The dog is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He's coat is a dual naturally colored wool.
Thank you for visiting me!!!

Swan lake ballerina and mini ballerinas too!

It is funny how I can at times have the *exactly* idea of what I am making and then at other times I am clueless until the sculpt is ready to be costumed.
Alyss became Swan Lake but when i was sculpting her I was thinking of a ballet teacher in a class room setting . When I added her black hair ... I had no other thoughts than make her like a ballerina ready to perform....

Ballet and ballerinas are dear to my heart. I danced professionally for the Miami Ballet Company.... YEARS ago that is for sure, grin, but I can tell you that the joy and memories *never* left my mind and heart . making ballerinas figurines is a true joy for me specially at this scale that requires so much patience , time and effort.
The reason I came up with Ballerinas for this time was because since Feb I have been listening once a week to Classical ballet music . I am working on my Christmas items to build up an inventory and the music was so lovely .... my thoughts were ...mmmmm... dancing....grin

Vanessa is so tiny and darling..... she measures only 2" tall, but she is full of personality. I just love her little profile because she has a perfect little nose!*grin*

Olivia is holding her thoughts to her self. She has hopes to be a *real*ballerina one day ....

Mini Ballerinas WIP

I have been working on 3 ballerinas... 2 children and one adult. The pins on her hair is just holding the hair in place until its dries.
