Sheep in the pasture...

Here is another piece that I started last year. The sheep was patiently waiting for its stand , and I am glad it is finished.
It is so true that the “grass is greener on the other side”! I maintain a flock of beautiful sheep, from which I gather my wool for my creations. With a soft spot in my heart for these animals, I dreamt up this piece portraying a realistic scene that can be found on any farm that still has barbed-wire fences! Truly, this is an image that I am fortunate to witness every day-these lovely creatures grazing amongst the wispy blades of green, green grass.

ps. do click on each picture so you can see the details of both sheep and stand.*grin*

Cheddar ~ Becca's miniature Horse~

I am posting a little differently than my usual. I am sharing with you some of my farm animals pictures and showing you a horse that I am making right now. The real one , shown here is Cheddar. He belongs to my younger daughter ,Rebbeca. Becca is a very gentle girl and since she was little she loved horses. We are not set up to have large ones so few years ago, you got Cheddar. He is tiny and cute.don't you agree with me? Okay... a little fat belly due to the fact that , I think Becca gives him too much treats!*grin*

Cheddar is a very gentle horse.... can you tell?

I love this picture here..... it shows trust and friendship!*grin*

Becca is telling him her secrets...*grin*

The little dog is *Rose* , Gabby's chiauau. All my animals get along so well... some times I am surprised of that but than again I think this is one of the reasons I love animals - they are not like people!*sigh*

Most of my merino wool comes from Charles...the ram you see...he has some of the finest wool you can imagine .... I forgot the number of micron....

Our animals are cared by my husband my children and I, therefore they are very tamed . the sheep runs to greet us and some of them we can even hold.
I hope you like the *tour* and the pictures... I was going to post on my woolytales blog but because I am working on *cheddar* I thought would be nice for you to see in where I am inspired most of the time.
Soon....*grin*

Sheep, Rabbit and Infant sculpt

Some times I spent more time trying to figure out how to improve or make my minis more realistic than the time spent in making the minis itself. Well , for these sheep I am not sure if I can say that only because of the time consuming , grin, but at the end I was *truly* happy with my newly results.
Please click on picture to view the auction.
This little rabbit is a little bigger than the scale but I thought he could make a lovely collector's item or a play scale too. Oh yes... he has a little friend too ...grin.... a micro butterfly...

This is Nathan, my newly baby infant sculpt. I have been baby sitting the pastor's new baby ( Nathan ) every Sunday evening when our pastor comes to our farm and we have a wonderful evening of bible studies. I get to feed baby Nathan and hold him. For the past few weeks I thought to sculpt him so here he is .... grin... although the REAL Nathan is priceless mine has a starting bid of $.99!*smiles*
