Alice In Wonderland

Here is my Alice.

(( You may double click to view super enlarged pictures))

When Lewis Carroll first wrote down Alice's story (before it was printed) he drew pictures of her with dark hair.Later on the illustrator John Tenniel, in which was the first to illustrate the published book, gave Alice a light brown or possible blond hair but is hard to tell because it was in black and white.
My Alice follows the original idea..... a brunette!*grin*

Alice's companion is 2.5" tall. hand sculpted from polymer clay and wool covered.

Alice has a stand that was made from solid wood. The top is artificial grass type that does not fade because is not like moss. Her Rabbit is remove-able from the mushroom.

Underneath Alice's hand will rest in a pocket size watch that I am waiting in the mail to arrive so I can list them on my eBay.

Her beautiful wings were made by Ann

Although her feet is hidden , Alice does have some sweet curly toes!*grin*

Pictures below were in progress before my sanding

oh Pat, I think Alice is my new favorite Woolytales creation! I too read somewhere that Lewis Carroll created Alice originally as a brunette. She is perfect, and Becca was a beautiful model for you! I know why Alice turned out so well,it is because you have mastered the art of creating BEAUTIFUL brunettes with all of your children. I was shocked to hear Shinedown playing!!! This is one of my oldest sons favorite groups..I have heard Almost Alice many times..too cool! and then to hear Jar of Hearts! That is one of my favorite songs right now!! so cool! xoxo Love You Christel

Patricia, YOUR Alice is truly MAGICAL! She is Beautiful and innocent... and knowing at the same time! I love that you have given her fairy wings! And I never knew the Original Alice was a brunette.... long live brunettes! I think she is VERY special! And I really like that you have shown your process of making her!

Oh, Patricia...

Your Alice is truly beautiful. It's amazing what you're able to do on such a small scale. The wings are perfect, in fact everything about this little one is perfect.
