Commissioned work , large scale bear rug, one inch white lion and dolls

I received a commission to make a very large , 13", brown bear rug. It was fun to sculpt in a larger scale because the details are visible, but it was a lot more work too.

** click on pictures to view enlarged**

Here you can see the rug  on my family dollhouse in which is not a 1:12 dollhouse of course.
Isabella, my own bjd  is showing the scale... she is 13" tall.

Here is the white lion . He is my second white lion. I am currently woking on some cubs and more lions  but I haven't decide yet if they will be white or regular ones.....

Have a blessed evening!!!

Comissioned Guernsey Cow & Cat

Hello dear readers & friends!*grin*

I  don't always share all my commissioned work because I use this blog to announce my listings on ebay. It helps to keep my buyers informed  but once in a while I like  to show some of my "other" work, the commissioned ones.

Working with a request is always a challenge for me.I think beyond of just making an animal or doll. Normally the buyer has something formed in their heads and because of that, there is an expectation.
It is like when we read a book. Normally we all "have a picture" in our heads. then the book becomes a movie and most of us say" ahh ... it was not as good as the book!" -The majority of the reason is because we have already establish a "picture"  in our heads .

My job when I accept a commission is to overcome an expectation. That is a VERY hard job. peoples minds  are an amazing thing and it is given by God .
When my client sees the pictures I send prior mailing the actual miniature, it is important to me that she or he is completely satisfied. I have ,in the past , made 2 of the same order  and choose the best one to show my client, that is how important it is for me.The one i didn't like is normally turned into my daughter's pet shop, grin! She has quite a few now!!!*blushing*

I did not send these pictures to my client yet , but she did see the cow in progress stages ( sculpting progress)  and I am taking my chances here, smiles!!!

I hope she will find this darlin' cow perfect for her!

*** cow is 1:12 scale, show in my handmade barn.
Cow was handmade from polymer clay over a twisted copper wire and an aluminum armature.
She has hand made glass eyes and real eyelashes.
A handmade vintage copper bell is hanging around her neck with a aged rope.
I made a "cow's tag" with real numbers. This tag was printed on plastic   and is a perfect replica from real life sizes cow's tag.
Fine wool power was used for her coat. It  was carefully hand cut from sheeps wool.
All colors are natural as it was not needed to add any paint.
Cow is sealed for durability .
It is not a toy, not recommended for children under 12 years old.
This is a collectors item!
For requests, please contact me via my website. I am able to take special requests starting August,
Order are schedule according my book. Turn around is normally 3 weeks more or less, depends of what the request is.****

little cat is on my ebay!:)
