Queen Bathsheba and german shepherd dog

Hello there.... I have something different to share with you and some really good news too!grin

Firstly ,  let me introduce you to my version of queen Bathsheba. The good news I want to share is that I have improved a lot in my eyes making and I finally feel that these will truly bring greats results for both my animals and figurines.

My queen was made with this inserted eyes. they are crystal clear and when is all done is harden as glass and will never yellow because it is made from a liquid that hardens in a glass form just like any other glass and it does not just add shine and dimension to it.

The hardest thing about this eyes is that in order to make some perfect matching eyes, I make many  first. I made a batch of 30 pairs and only kept 8. ...so you can have an idea, but is well worth it , I think!grin

So... back to the queen.... because the story of Bathsheba and king David is not very cleared as far as if she in fact knew about the kings intention when she was bathing her self naked at the terrace where the king could see her .... or if that was just her normal ways and she had no idea.... I choose to give her a seductive way, yet i kept a bit of fear in her look.

I encourage you  to read 2 Samuel ... it is fascinating  and one can learn a lot about your own sin. I have.

Anyways.... my queen will be listed on my eBay tonight for 5 days and it auction will start at $.99 .

if you are interested , make sure you check it out. I will not take request to make her again, so please if you do want her, bid accordingly!

The dog was also make with the new eyes.... he is a gift for a dear friend. I cant wait to mail him out !

I wish you all a blessed week!
smiles,
P.

Hello Patricia! Your doll is quite lovely and the eyes are mesmerizing! You really excel at evoking expression in both your human and animal figures! Well done!
You are right about Bathsheba, too. She was just minding her own business when King David let a voyeuristic opportunity change the course of his and her life forever! What starts out a pebble sized sin can turn into a boulder that we are forever stuck with.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful work and congratulations on discovering a way to improve upon your always marvelous work!

Dear Tita, your Queen Bathsheba is very beautiful (a real artwork in fact) and her eyes are so lifelike! The expression on her face.........well you said it yourself.
The shepherd is an artwork itself, his eyes really do a lot for his look. I have told you before: the eyes are the mirror of a person or in this case also of an animal.
It is like Giac said: just when you think someone cannot get better, you can do :D!!
Warm greetings to you all.
Lovingly, Ilona
