The child and her sheep...

I feel  something  wonder-ful  about sheep.... I think it may be because when I was 9 years old, my dad told me he had a surprise for me.... he took me to a neighbor's farm and there he handled me a baby lamb. My eyes and heart was so full of joy at that moment...

...the smell  from sheep may be something unpleasant  for some people but for me is like a special memory.
I hid "mimoso" for 3  evenings under my bed.... but the smell gave it way, I think...grin... momma, got him back to the barn.
when it rained... mimoso ( in which is a word for "tender') would go through the barb wire fencing , leaving behind lots of wool, and would  come underneath my window and  bleed -calling me.grin. I would sneak out and sit on the porch with him for a while.

I think that's where my love for sheep comes from....

... my pastures are not with my sheep at this time and I miss them so much....
 i

I made a little girl with her sheep.....

It is with the LAMB that she rests today.... He  is her first love!

These are  Jacob's sheep.... just like mine, grin!

I little sparrow is a special birdie that was made by a talented artist named Ilona.... please click on her name to go to her blog. I hope to post soon a milking machine that I commissioned her !

Dear Tita, thank you for telling us this story about your special connection with your sheep. The lamb was a very special memory from childhood, nowadays as an adult, you use their warm wool for your artworks, how wonderful is that. The miniature sheep shown on your pictures are amazingly realistic and together with the little girl you can almost feel their strong and special connection between these living beings.
Also thank you for showing the swallow, now I know he has flown straight to you with my warmest greetings ;)! Lovingly, Ilona

Besitos

My heart is so sad, Pat, that your field has no sheep...remember that the Shepherd knows when even a sparrow falls. It falls into His hands.
lovingly,
Rosa
