Polar Bear and Baby Seal

**Icy**

This past winter I made this polar bear. I have been experimenting with stands too.
My inspiration for this polar bear stemmed from my personal interest in these majestic beasts. Polar bears are some of my favorite animals that belong in the wild. After researching polar bears and their sources of survival, I learned that seals constitute a part of the polar bears diet!* sad grin* I then thought that an interesting way to portray these two creatures in a lifelike manner would be to put them together as one creation. Thus, the birth of my “Polar Bear” piece- an attempt to portray not only realism but splendor and might as well.

ps. All these pictures are in high pixels and if you click on each one of them you will see them enlarged and the details are more visible.

Thank you for visiting me and my creatures. Your comments are welcome and appreciated!*grin*

That is great work. I love the seal popping up through the the hole in the ice. The snow also looks very realistic.

FELIX PASCOA MA BELLE! I was out all day yesterday, and even though I checked my bloglist early morning to see if there were any new posts, I must have missed this fabulous new post of yours. I am so intrigued; polar bears are my favorite too!! They are so magnificent, beautiful, terrifying, strong, but when you see them in photographs, they can be rather humorous. They sometimes look like a man in a bear suit because of the way the pose! Your bear and darling seal here are just perfect. Again, a masterpiece from an artist that knows NO LIMITS! BRAVO my sweet! Love on this special day, Nita

Oh my dearest,
I see that my comment from early this morning didn't make it in! I wonder what happens in the process of making comments and how they seem to get eaten up!!! I so love this piece; I love polar bears because as deadly and awesome as they are, they have a cuteness about them that of course must always be admired from a distance, but nonetheless are a wonder to behold and are humorous! They always look as if there is a man in a bear suit and strike the cutest poses for the camera! You have captured him well here with unfortunately, his dinner!!! Darling, perfectly executed, your bears are the wonders of this miniature world we all love so!

I hope this goes through...Nita
