Roombox progress

I have been working on my first roombox for almost 5 months now. Here you can see my previous progress post. I am getting closer and closer now. The picture below is a snap of how the room is right now. The back wall is ready for painting. I had to add a backing behind the window because the widows are so delicate that it must have been broken about a dozen times before I finally figured that I needed to add a temporary protection, sigh, but the problem was solved that way.

The floor is a solid wood, not from a kit, but a wood that was individually grooved to create a scale floor. What you see is just the a darken colors stain that was applied so when I apply the final stain all will be blend but it will also create a *warm* finish, hopefully very natural and realistic.*grin*

I want to show some of the details. I use a regular router to create the scale. I am not very familiar with the English terms ... I hope you understand what I am saying by looking at the pictures.

This room was done entirely on my shop using the materials and tools that we have . Next on the list is to satin the floors , fill any gaps on the side walls ,then paint .

I have made a mold for my crown molds ... I will show it later....

I want the entire room to match so the *cuts* were also important. The same bit was used for all the wood work.
For the next picture I added a second trim to the floor molding, I haven't glue yet.

Below is a close up of the window. I am pleased with the details. the wood trims has been added and any minuscule gap has been filled. I think is is ready for the final paint!YES!*smiles*

A close up at the router ... I want to show you that with one bit can be used to create many cuts and curves. If you look carefully the next 3 pictures you can have an idea of what I am trying to say...

This is the router.... it is removeable from the table in which can be used for regular work . I am not expert on this and I am learning how to use it. It is pretty simple and amazinly fast too.

Made in USA... good stuff!*grin*

Ohhhh , thank you thank you thank you!!!! I am honored with all the comments and *very* much encouraged. This is not my natural area to work so it is not easy for me and I have not show all my mistakes and re-dos,grin, but I am learning and I am enjoying so much. I still have a lot to do and hopefully soon I will have it all ready.Smiles!

Tita dearest! Thank you for visiting CCC! Oh, you have been working so hard, and those beautiful eyes of yours need to close for the evening! I am sure that the results of your hard work are going to WOW us all! I am so excited to see the marionnettes. And yes, simplicity....to be able to accept that which we before us, people as they are, and all that we know about God and all that we can't see or prove and then just move on and simply LOVE and treat all with respect.....simplicity. Just as Christ asked us to do, and what I see you do in your everyday life. Bless you my dearest.....Anita
