Miniature oil painting

For those that don't know , I am an oil painter. This was my very first medium in the art world. I think I start to paint when I was around 5 or 6 and since then I have painted numbers of canvas from small to very large , including backdrops for our marionette theatre ( see the link on the side bar) . However I have not done much of miniature painting. In fact this is only my 5Th one.
The canvas measures 2 1/4" by 4 1/4". It is not micro because I was thinking of my room boxes and my walls are taller than most dollhouses. I have decided that I don't want to have a dollhouse ( that may change later, grin*) because I get bored to easily and room boxes are more suitable for me. It will take me a long time , probably years to have several rooms built. I found out that my true pleasure is to make most everything ... I love a challenge and the idea that I can do the way that is on my head is very exciting to me...
I remember one time when I was on my teens when I asked an artist when she knew that she could paint well and she told me : " If I can paint a perfect apple, I can paint anything!"
That stayed in my head ... although I enjoy painting fruits , they are not my favorite subject and I was not willing to practicing my skills by painting apples all my life, grin, but every time I would paint apples I would think .... does my apple look real?
So .... because of that I almost did not share this canvas with you..... I trust that the peaches and grapes will distract your mind.....smiles...

Hello Patricia, I am not sure how you do all that you do but what a gift you have! I'm not sure I could manage painting a large picture not to mention one in miniature. Your work is more than genius it is captivating.
