Roombox progress pictures

It has been about 3 months since I started working on my first roombox. The wall you see here is my main wall.Everything was handmade , even the windows. I did not use the store bought ones. The wood borders were done with a jig bit and all the pieces are ready to be attach and to be paint.
The space you see on the bottom is for the fire place. Below I am telling you my plans!*grin*

When I go to bed at night ... let me fix this .... when I FINALLY go to bed ,*grin* , I still think about things and most of my ideas comes from this time on. On the right you see an old frame from an antique container that I used to have. I used the flowers from that piece to create my pulleys for the curtains. The white piece is the plaster negative mold and the other one is my positive mold. The one the back you can see my pulleys.I used brass rods and the flowers were made from liquid fiber glass ( love that stuff!). Then gold leaf was applied and sealed. There are 2 sizes , the larger are for the top and the smaller for the sides.

Number 1 i am showing you a brick wall from a miniature train set. Number 2 is my negative mold made from fiberglass. Number three is my fireplace. I have only used shellac as based coat... still have to paint and detail . I want my fire place to look real and this molding process took about 10 days of work because I was not happy with the original train set .

To make the wood frames one need tools. I am blessed to have just the right thing.

This is the top of my room. The silver you see is a foil used to reflect light. Although my room will be electric I still wanted the light to reflect the windows because my main wall has a 4inches space to allow depth and reality. Oh , when I have all set you will understand!*grin*
